So where do I start today? No comic once again and something else for YouTube. Guess it's time for me to start spitting facts again.
Let's start with something simple, Wolfgang Caverns from Kaden Caverns. I had no idea where this place would be located at for the longest time. The only thing I had in mind was it was in a forest area inside of a cave in America. I recently settled on it being in Oregon. Because it was one of the states closest to my home state and I watched some Portlandia a few years ago. The town is literally inside of a cavern system and underground.
Wolfgang Caverns is a place where pretty much the entire population is anthro cartoon animals/A-Norm animals, next to no humans. Magic is used in the caverns. They're also not a very intelligent town. I've written their schools to have very low standards to the point where you'd have to nuke a South American country to get in trouble. A place where if you're so dumb you get transferred there, you know you failed in terms of intelligence. One of my characters from MythoRealms at large, Gullet Gopher was transferred there. He's the son of the famous cartoon actor Glutton Gopher. (I've written as my version of the Tasmanian Devil and Cookie Monster) Gullet was part of a TV show called Small Simpleton Stories with a group of kids going on adventures to become the new age of cartoon stars. Gullet didn't have trouble in school then because he had all the help he needed for his mental defects. But when the show ended, so did his time with the special scholars. Thus, he was put back into normal school where he struggled for the rest of his academic career until he was transferred to Wolfgang Caverns. I've written him to eventually graduate at age 21.
I've created a group of angelic heroes who fight evil in space and throughout their respective universe and realms within said universe. Blue Angels and Diablos. Created by a biblically accurate angel known as Sylvarius, they spend their lives protecting others. These Blue Angels and Diablos are more commonly known together as Sylvarius Legions and legionnaires. (Got the name from DC's Legion of Superheroes) They're given Golden Halos or Horns with a blue glow from them, they grant them their powers. Once you were written into them, you were in. You could never remove yourself from them.
Legionnaires have a locked expiration date where you can't die unless you live until your expiration date or are somehow killed by magic capable of killing legionnaires. They live until their 100th birthday at the earliest or 300th birthday at the latest. How long they'll live for depends on their upbringing, species, family reputation, power level, religious background, and how the mortals would benefit from having them as a legionnaire in the long run.
Once your expiration date came, you'd fade away with your body seizing to be. Your time as a mortal and legionnaire would be judged by Sylvarius and his council to decide if you've been a good legionnaire or not. If you've been good, you'll be given any good eternal afterlife of your choice. You might be called on to return to the mortal realm if needed by the legion for emergencies. Once the emergency is resolved, you can return to your afterlife. But if you've been bad, you'll be sent to a version of Hell depending on your background. In MythoRealms, Hell is an endlessly large collection of many different realms of punishment and badness rather than one realm.
Wow, I didn't expect to unload as much as I did for Sylvarius Legions/Blue Angels and Diablos. I went with Diablos (Spanish word for devils) instead of Devils because Blue Devils were taken by a basketball team, football team, and music group. I have a thing where if I have a name and someone else beaten me to that name, the name I had before the realization is automatically off limits.
I think I should talk about what I've written about my version of Hell currently. It's a large collection of realms as everyone has their own definition of Hell and whoever's in charge of said Hell is more than happy to provide. Demons live in Hell, obviously. But they serve multiple purposes and live no differently from humans. (I never watched Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss. I haven't found them appealing and they don't accurately portray Hell as the bad place most people believe it is.)
I written a system where some demons and buy and sell souls of mortal sinners to torture however they see fit for as long as they want. Those souls are treated like toys, collectables, and trading cards. (Writing this out, I picture some of the worst people in the world kept in a museum so demons and watch them being endlessly punished. Kept and displayed like trading cards treated about as well as how Patrick Star treated that Mermaid Man card from that one episode of Spongebob.) These souls can also be used as slaves/free labor.
Some demons weren't born demons and originated as humans or mortals turned into demons. Some are demons because they were sinners in their lifetimes so they're turned into tortured punishers just as much prisoner as the souls they trade and play with. Some demons aren't being punished at all because they've been good in their lifetimes and decided willingly to become demons after their death. These demons can live a good life in Hell free of responsibility while some can get a job in Hell as a punisher or otherwise.
Demons and Angels are equals in MythoRealms. I've written good people living good afterlives in Hell because I want to show demons in a positive and even heroic light. (Todd Macfarlane did this with Spawn as a man who went to Hell for knowingly committing crimes against humanity as a mercenary until being killed. Then he gets turned into a hell spawn who fights bad guys.) Hell won't be entirely a bad place, it just hinges on how good of a person you've been and how you imagine it. (There's this one Stanley and His Monster comic where they go to Hell and Stanley uses his imagination to make Hell seem not as bad.) Some of Charcoal and Clawson's first friends are demons who act as their imaginary friends. They're not evil, but don't get confused, they still punish sinners.
Finally, the Creepypasta Coming Soon...
I plan to release a creepypasta narration video on Wednesday January 29th. I have a definite deadline for this. The video was already recorded a while ago through Twitch and I've cut most of the excess out. It's just a matter of trimming it down and editing the audio for the final product. Been sleeping on it for a while and I think it should be completed soon. (To iifinch, the author of the creepypasta I've read, sorry for taking so long to make the video. It'll be out very soon.)
This won't be the last creepypasta narration I'll do, I've collected a few links from online of creepypastas I should consider narrating. They won't move forward until I read them myself beforehand and am given the author's permission to read it. Any creepypasta I make moving forward will be read on Twitch which will also serve as a blooper reel.
